Rio Real is one of the oldest golf courses on the Costa del Sol, opened in 1965, and remains a great test of golf.
The course runs along the Rio Real river, following it toward the sea, and is made up of many contrasting holes – some with elevated tees, some featuring water hazards and many lined with mature tress. The layout demands a number of different tee shots with a premium on finding the tight fairways and avoiding the numerous species of trees which border each hole.
